Suzanne Morphew's Death Declared a Homicide
Autopsy Results Released
Cause and Manner of Death Unspecified
On Monday, the Chaffee County Medical Examiner released autopsy results for Suzanne Morphew, a Colorado mother of two who went missing from a bike ride in May 2020. The autopsy determined that Morphew's death was a homicide, but the cause and manner of death remain unspecified.
Morphew disappeared from her home on Mother's Day 2020. Her remains were found in May 2021 in a remote area of Chaffee County. The autopsy report, which was released to the public on Monday, states that Morphew died from "homicidal violence of undetermined means."
The coroner's office is still investigating the circumstances surrounding Morphew's death. No arrests have been made in the case.
Morphew's family has been waiting for answers in her death for over two years. The autopsy results provide some closure, but they also raise new questions about what happened to Morphew and who is responsible for her death.
