Georgia makes history by reaching first major tournament with penalty shootout
Georgia have qualified for Euro 2024 thanks to a 4-2 shootout win over Greece after a tense playoff final.
It is the first time that Georgia have reached a major tournament, and they will now take their place at next summer's finals in Germany.
Georgia took the lead in the first half through Giorgi Kvilitaia, but Greece equalised in the second half through Anastasios Bakasetas.
The match went to a penalty shootout, and Georgia won 4-2 thanks to saves from goalkeeper Giorgi Loria.
Georgia will now be in Pot 4 for the Euro 2024 draw, which will take place on December 9.
